I can't resist...

I'm soooo excited! I just bought what I hope will be the *perfect* honeymoon dress to wear to our luau in Maui. I figure it's the only time during the honeymoon we're going to get dressed up and while the dude has plenty in the closet to get himself ready for the luau...I have black, black, and black.

Pretty much the only time I wear a dress is to the dude's Christmas party. To be honest, his Christmas party was so chill the first time we went...this past year we both wore jeans. That being said, I only have winter-friendly dresses in heavy fabrics and dark colors.

I don't know what this wedding is doing to me, but I'm actually excited about wearing a dress for our honeymoon! Don't worry, I'm sure normal Amelia will be back after it's all over...but if I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it cute!

Take a gander at this little beauty:

Geren Ford, Silk Color Blocked Dress

I'd give you the link, but I got it from a super fabulous website I think you need to know about. Gilt Groupe. Gilt Groupe is a member-only website giving you access to daily bargains on designer goods. For example, this dress was originally $300...I got it for the bargain price of $70! Love it!!

I love me some designer clothing...but even more I love CHEAP designer clothing. Gilt is an excellent place for that.

If you're at all interested...I want YOU to join and just check out their bargains. They have everything from women, men, children, home, and even travel. It's a magical Disneyland for fashion. Click this link (it's an invite from me to you): CLICK HERE PEOPLE!

But what else am I going to wear on this honeymoon? Right now I'm in the market for some white skinny jeans to wear on the airplane there with a really cute navy and white striped tank top from j.crew. The tank was a gift from the dude for Christmas and is no longer featured on their website.

So that's two outfits...now I have 6 other days to worry about.

As I'm hoping to spend most of my time at the beach, I've already picked up these two cuties at Target:

The one below is a navy cover up with anchors ($15 - in store)

Same cover up, bright pink and white stripes (Purchased in store, available online here)

So far I've purchased one bathing suit from Target, it was just a gray, simple mix and match bikini (oh yeah...what? I've never worn one of those before...my racing suits are pretty old...and not sexy).

I also have one pair of shorts (yeah...one. One pair of shorts total...and I've had them for over 5 years).

Needless to say, I don't want to buy a whole new wardrobe...but there are some key pieces I'm missing. I figure if I do this slowly and build up my little collection it won't hurt so bad at the end.

How did you plan your honeymoon wardrobe?
